A New Fad?

It’s winter. Compared to last winter, this one’s rather tame and chicken-hearted.
But it’s still winter, and around here, temperatures at mid-day only get into the low 40s.

So what’s with all these people walking around in shorts and T-shirts?

It’s not everybody, but you see at least a couple of them on every block in town. Is it a reality TV thing? Where does it come from? I mean, there’s a pretty stiff north wind blowing all the time, and it’s not very comfortable. Why are all these characters dressed like it’s mid-May or early June? It’s February!

What is the origin of this foolishness? Are these “People of Walmart” wannabes? Does some “star” do this on a music video?

Some of these folks are going to get good and sick before this winter’s over.

  1. Hi Lee,
My wife and I live in Cedar Ciy, Utah. It gets really cold here. We have been noticing people walking around in shorts and tee shirts here. We can’t understand it. Maybe people are just becoming so de-sensitized they don’t feel anything anymore! Peace, Joy and Love…..EVO and OVE

    1. CAN YOU SAY “CHEMTRAILS”? CHECK IT OUT ON YOUTUBE! PEACE, JOY AND LOVE…..EVO AND OVE

    2. HI LEE,
IT IS A FORM OF CULTURAL POLLUTION! PEACE, JOY AND LOVE. EVO AND OVE.

  2. I have been wondering the same thing. It happened last winter also.
I ask myself in wonderment, do these people have any sensations left in their bodies, are they form planet zoru where skin has no sensations? Are they making a statement of some kind; such as “I am the coolest?”
It is a mystery. I asked my son if he understood, and he is as baffled as
I am. It could be the cult of Popcycles R Us?

    1. This afternoon a 14-year-old walked past me in just a T-shirt, no jacket, temperature under 40 degrees and sinking, as the clouds rolled in. I asked him, “Aren’t you cold?” He tried to answer “no,” but his teeth were chattering too much!

  3. I have been asking myself this question since last winter. Do these people have no sensations in their bodies? I wonder if there are other
things missing in their bodies. Could they be from Planet Zoru? Maybe they are members of the cult “popcycles R Us”? I asked my son if he
knew what their gig is, and he is as baffled as I am. Just one of life’s
    little mysteries.
