By Request, ‘Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun’

Before we wade into the river of decay that is the news, let’s fortify ourselves with a hymn–Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun, written by Isaac Watts in 1719.

Sorry, we have no Beyonce today.

Thank you, Laura, for requesting it.

Look at the accompanying pictures, by the way: clean, wholesome, decent, hard-working, small-town, Christian America–paying the bills, every day, for leaders who despise and mock them.

  1. Thank you for this wonderful reminder of the way the world used to be. It is a great mind cleansing start for the day.

  2. You’re so right, Erlene. As the world gets darker, let’s sing louder. Thank you, Lee and Laura.

  3. Thanks Lee! I absolutely love this hymn.

‘To him shall endless prayer be made
And praises throng to crown his head.
His name like sweet perfume shall rise
    With every morning sacrifice.’

The world as it should be … and as it will be one day.
