This is from a worship video used in his church, which the pastor posted on youtube. I dunno that I could ever get comfortable with that: I much prefer a hymnal.
But I’m not here to say anything about anybody’s worship preferences. Praising God is good–period! Thank you, Linda, for your request. I hope it was the one you wanted.
I am happy to report that I played basketball today, for the first time in I don’t know how long. I think the next oldest guy on the court was at least 25 years younger than me. Thank you, Father in heaven, for allowing me this. (And the old blood pressure wasn’t bad an hour later, either.)
Thank you, Lee. Very upbeat and uplifting, and I think it speaks to the younger generation more so than our ‘old fashioned’ hymns.
Now that the weather is getting nicer, you’ll have more opportunity to ride your bike and play basketball – in addition to enjoying God’s sunshine while you write. – all calming to a person’s blood pressure. Good for you!
I agree with you Lee. I’m in my late 30s but I much prefer the hymns. Still, God be praised!
We’ve sung this at church before–love it! I admit to enjoying the newer songs and a worship band more than the older hymns and a piano or organ. I guess that counts me as one of the younger generation, though I’m in my 40s. 🙂
