Look how good these cats are with these babies! Can that be anything less than wonderful for a child’s development?
A sign in my doctor’s office says that babies who interact with cats and dogs develop measurably stronger immune systems than babies who don’t. That’s as may be–but you simply can’t go wrong with love and cuddles.
Truly, there’s not much that compares with relationships between children and animals – God’s gifts, both. I’ve had animals all my life, and so have my children and grandchildren. Not only do they teach love and respect and companionship, but as they grow, loyalty and responsibility along with many other life lessons. Blessings indeed!
This is such a beautiful example of our Creator’s love. Animals are a gift from God and the fact that a cat seems to instinctively know not to use its claws when dealing with infants and small children has absolutely got to be from a Higher Power. Also, the affection cats and dogs seem to have for infants is inexplicable without the Creator’s influence. It can only be good for children to be on the receiving end of all this affection.
Of course, I would be remiss if I failed to mention that my cat shows amazing affection for me, and makes my life that much richer and more meaningful. My beautiful little cat never fails to take note of my coming and going and always greets me when I return home at the end of the day, not to mention the fact that she’s at my elbow, purring, as I write this.
