I’ve got this problem. They won’t let me into the Congressional Black Caucus.

“But I identify as black!”
“You’re not a member of Congress, either.”
“But I identify as a Congressman!”
Pretty damned silly, isn’t it? I say “damned” on purpose, because this line of thinking is at best insane but at worst satanic, and it can be both at once.
Here in New Jersey we have “gay” groups taking aim at the Boy Scouts for not letting an 8-year-old girl remain a member of a boys’ Cub Scout pack. “I identify as a boy,” says the 8-year-old girl. Attempting to talk sense to power, usually a vain effort, these days, the American College of Pediatricians commented, “A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.” Uh, yeah. The ACP called the whole “transgender” business “scientifically baseless.”
If, beard and all, I were to suddenly start “identifying as a woman,” the Left would stand up and cheer, and demand the government punish anyone who didn’t go along with my delusion. But if I were to identify as Ho Chi Minh, or a hamster, I would just be deemed a loon.
This one child’s mind and character have already suffered abuse from which she might not easily recover. Just leave her alone and she’ll naturally grow out of it, the pediatricians say. But camera-hungry parents and addled “educators” won’t let her grow out of it. Neither will Democrat politicians.
Over the past 50-plus years, we Americans have done a spectacular job of letting our culture go to rack and ruin. It will be a very long way back to sanity, with the whole armies of the Left trying to ambush us so that we don’t make it.
Pray for God’s mercy. Pray for God’s grace. If we ever needed a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud, we need ’em now.

I never would have guessed that the people of those eras were this crazy.
I guess they were, or He would not have said it. Whew, no wonder He sent the flood and the fire of destruction. Heads up, everybody.
I grew up with End Times prophecies used to answer every question in life and I tired of it when I became an adult. I adopted a wait and see attitude.
In just the last year or so I’ve taken note that civilization has taken a dramatic turn for the worse and the End Times scenarios seem to be playing out in front of my eyes. The insanity Lee refers to in this post strikes me as unprecedented.
Much more importantly.it appears that Zechariah’s prophecy concerning Jerusalem being a stumbling block to the nations is happening right now: today! This has nothing to do with the law of Moses, it is related to the Abrahamic covenant.
As Lee rightly points our, we are to occupy until our Lord returns and I don’t advocate divesting our worldly goods, quitting our jobs, etc. when it’s time to make a change, God will lead me to the proper course, as He has done all my life. But I am taking note that epic events are happening all around me.
Prophecy gives us a glimmer of future events, but it also serves to help us in recognizing the significance of events that we observe. Jesus told his disciples that they were to rejoice when they saw these things occurring; their deliverance would be drawing near.
There are many things in my life that I’d like to change, but circumstances seem to be preventing these desired changes. On more than one occasion I had arranged to move back to my home town, only to have the opportunity evaporate, instantly, before my eyes. I’ve accepted that God seems to be blessing me here and my efforts to leave are not being blessed.
So I keep on the watch, as Jesus instructed. And I watch the events of this world unfold around me in awe, because prophecies that, I, my parents and grandparents lived in expectation of seem to be coming true.
Events like the Boy Scout matter can leave us reeling, but I believe that it is all the result of “God [sending] upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false. 2 Thess 2:11
In the old days they would call this schizophrenia, now it’s just the “norm”.

Events are moving quickly toward the return of Christ. I was thinking not too long ago about how life was when I was young. I was a Girl Scout, a tomboy as well, and would never have thought of muscling in on the Boy Scouts. Today, some parents are encouraging their children to walk in a very different way, to question something so obvious to them: are you a boy or a girl? A child needs true encouragement to be what God made him or her to be. Encouragement to grow up seeing God as his or her Heavenly Father Who loves them and has a plan for their lives. And in my day-to-daylife it’s nothing to meet people who are homosexual or sexually deviant in other ways as well and have no shame about it and are perfectly happy and eager to bring up the subject of sexual orientation. It’s the norm, now, and if you’re not “with it,” you’re the strange one. But it’s a strange feeling to me living in a new Sodom and Gomorrah.
Yes, it is a strange feeling. Sometimes I feel like I went to sleep one night and woke up in a different bed, different room, different house, and different world.

That’s a good description of our time. In a subtle, but steady manner, the world we have known has changed into a place of inverted logic and perversion of justice. Then, all of a sudden, it strikes you that the old rules no longer seem to apply to most of the people you encounter.
It can be demoralizing to experience, but it also tells us that we are in the time when good will triumph over evil, followed shortly by the restitution of all things.
I am dead certain that “This too, shall pass.”
Not soon enough for my liking, but still… I’m certain I am right about this.
I pray that the defeat of Hillary Clinton was the beginning of the end for all this evil stuff.
I don’t think that the hardcore liberal left will go quietly, I remember the unrest of 1968 and the tensions are running at least as high now as they were then.
However, I think that this may be necessary. The evil roots of the far left have been exposed and anyone paying the least bit of attention will be in a better position to know where to place their support.
I do sense a pattern, however. The mid sixties were filled with social upheaval and a rejection of the values that were common to most Americans. By ’68, there were riots and bombings. Bomb threats were commmon. Then Nixon was elected and, although he had some serious shortcomings with regard to truthfulness he refused to give in the the Marx Brothers madness of the liberal left.
In ’76, Carter was elected and social madness made a comeback. The US was perceived as being so weak that the embassy in Iran was seized. The military, at the time, was so inept that they couldn’t mount a rescue operation, because of equipment failures. Carter’s version of the Entebbe rescue ended in disgrace. Then came 1980.
Reagan’s message of optimism stood in stark contrast to Carter’s malaise and the voters made their choice. It was Morning in America once again and the prosperity lasted. Bush 41 was no Reagan, but he didn’t do much damage. Clinton was savvy enough not to dismantle success and tried to take credit for the groundwork Reagan had laid.
Bush 43 was a mixed bag and ultimately allowed himself to be influenced by the left. Foolish lending practices, many based on the left’s notions of social justice, caused the prosperity to falter just before the election and paving the way for the Marx Brothers social madness to return, reaching new heights, such as the madness mentioned in the article above.
It was repudiated in the recent election, but much of New England and the higher population areas of Krazy Kalifornia voted solidly for more madness. I see Trump as a voice for Flyover Country, but I don’t think it’ll be smooth sailing. At least he has a republican majority in both the House and the Senate, but even minor defections could turn Trump’s plan into an uphill climb.
I’m not trying to dampen the optimism we all share, but I think it’s a bit early to conclude that the storm has passed.
We have won a very big battle, but there’s still the war and it’s a long way from being over.
Electing a sane president is a big help, but the most important thing we need to do is to repair our culture, which has been all but dismantled. Our pop culture is the principle means by which we educate ourselves; and as long as most people are pouring toxins into their brains every day, the Left will never want for support.

I am right with you. This liberal madness is a symptom of a diseased culture. As long as Kim Kardashian’s rear end is a source of cultural fascination we are still in hot water, culturally speaking, and vulnerable to being attacked by whatever foolishness the left cooks up.
Mass media is powerful and the Internet has placed incredible power In the hands of almost everyone on earth. The answer is not censorship; the answer involves having the character necessary to reject the badness.
If people ignored mainstream media, they would disappear almost instantly. We, the people, empower them by watching their outrageous garbage. It doesn’t matter whether we believe their nonsense; if we watch it the advertisers will keep them on the air.
