It’s too bad he didn’t have time to learn wisdom before he died, and to repent; but something tells me he wouldn’t have.

The thing that astounds me about this ilk, is their inability to take note of the fact that they are surviving because of the very things they are protesting.
When he decided that Ohio was too cold for his little jaunt he went to Florida. I don’t know, but I’d wager that he didn’t walk to Florida, he used hydrocarbon burning transportation, just like the rest of us. (Even in he walked, HE is a hydrocarbon burning form of transportation; all living things burn hydrocarbons.) The foods he eats were undoubtedly delivered by trucks. He is as dependent upon the system as any one us are.
I don’t think that our economy, agricultural and manufacturing systems are perfect, but they are a darned sight cleaner and more efficient that what we had in generations past. Just look into the situation in New York City before the automobile. Horse droppings were a huge problem causing immediate health threats.
Considering his atitude, I have to wonder if he contributed to the accident which caused his death.
Well, walking along a busy highway while ranting at a camera is not something I’d recommend as a safe pastime.

Just put them in the middle of no where without the internet, electricity, or all the other conveniences of modern civilization. I suspect if you give them a taste of what they want for a week, they will change their tune quickly.

There’s a disconnect. A lot of these people do not even begin to understand where the utilities, etc. on which they rely actually operate. It’s not as if there’s a source of non carbon-based energy that is being ignored. Nuclear is carbon-free, but it’s fraught with disposal issues which are much more intractable than those related to hydrocarbons.
I’d like to see how many movies James Cameron could make without fossil fuels.

It’s very easy to look at a situation we have never experienced personally and conclude that it was somehow better than our current circumstances.
During the 18th century, in the US, horses made a lot of sense. The population density was much lower in those days, but even then, horses were a problem in cities. The era of automotive power was heralded as a solution to all sorts of problems, many related to horse manure.
I have read that the reason Brownstones in NYC were built 1/2 a floor above street level was to mitigate the effect of manure piles. This is, no doubt, why basement apartments were considered quite undesirable.
Believers tend to see this world in terms of a flawed system, awaiting the deliverance God has promised. I don’t expect paradise until the restoration, which may be soon, but it hasn’t happened yet.
As much as I appreciate having a good vehicle and the infrastructure which supports it, I don’t consider it to be the last word. I don’t know how human civilization was intended to develop, neither does anyone else in the human realm.

We don’t know how all of these problems will be solved, but we do know that during 40 years in the wilderness, the nation of Israel did not experience their sandals or their garments wearing out. This in not to imply that entropy will be reversed in the Kingdom of God, but apparently His blessings will be more than enough to solve problems that humans are unable to solve.

Unknowable’s sentence “…their inability to…” is what qualifies such people to be useful idiots for those whose agenda is the takeover of the world – “and then they came for US.” 1) The Private/Corporate Partnership plan is “sustainable development” in disguise; 2) the UN has a program that targets our children for indoctrination into Agenda 2030. These future “robots” will be worse than the liberal fascists of today. “…and children against their parents…”.

Fortunately, some of them learn. The Reagan years cured me of the indoctrination I received from the public schools, but it took years and I did not fully appreciate Reagan during the time he was in office.
I don’t know whether the Trump years will proceed in the same manner. The idiocy of the ’60s was profound, but there were still a lot of people that didn’t buy into it. In this case, the crop of college-indoctrinated useful idiots seems very large. Beyond that, many of them are justifiably miffed that they took on huge debts for their “education” and are finding that their degrees have zero value in the job market.
I recently spoke to a fellow that is a shift manager in a convenience store and makes more money at that job than he can earn with his teaching certificate. I suspect that his story is far from unique.
Now, multiply that frustration by a few million people (with similar tales to tell) and you have a lot of weapons-grade frustration just waiting to be aimed and put to use. I would guess that the librarian/poet in this story is just an extreme case. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a Master’s in Library Science and probably earned a very modest salary. I’d be frustrated too, but I think I would deal with it more constructively.
Wait’ll all these frustrated people find out it’s the liberals’ fault…

Wow to you too, sir. Your perspective is invaluable. Yes, these pathetic creatures are smaller in number than the media – ON BOTH SIDES – would have us believe. There are useful idiots directly involved with the NWO players (in our own government, media and schools) who recruit even more useful idiots. Many suffer the hopelessness of having nothing to lose, as represented by the song from the 60’s “Freedom’s just another word, with nothing left to lose.” Only this time, it’s mostly economic.
I never liked Reagan. Before Trump, I never voted with any enthusiasm. Now, i’m fully interested in State and local bureaucracies, because President Trump is “taking care of business” on the federal level as best he can. Like you’ve said many times, don’t vote for a democrat. Even though both parties are Established global communists, we need to punish the democratic party itself. I trust there are still some Republicans who are more inclined to “learn.” I would never, ever vote for a third party. I don’t believe there should be political parties at all.
That’s the thing, they have nothing to lose and think that they will gain when the rich are relieved of all they possess.

Please believe me when I tell you that there is a vast gulf of difference between rank-and-file Republicans and the Democrat voting base.
