I’m still getting it from the conservative who doesn’t think the Bible is all it’s cracked up to be, and the liberal Catholic who thinks there were no Adam and Eve and Satan is probably just a metaphor. Both doubt my persuasive powers, and both would like to know whom I think I’m reaching with this blog. And they’re not the only ones who’ve asked me that.
In addition to preaching to the choir–I prefer to think of it as rallying a band of brothers and sisters, like-minded souls, we happy few–I’m speaking to persons who have been intimidated by secular humanists and other liberals. I know I’m not preaching to the conversion of leftids. If I ever heard from any lib, “Hey, y’know what? You’re right–Global Warming really is nothing but a power-grab by wicked lying grubs,” I’d run outside and turn a cartwheel. I know it’s never going to happen.
The biggest weapon in the liberal’s bag of tricks is his claim to be an intellectual, a terribly smart person who just must be taken seriously. This is what intimidates people who haven’t made up their minds about an issue. “Wow! If all those smart people in college say Donald Trump’s a racist, maybe he really is a racist!” I have simplified here to make my point.
Normal people in possession of a modicum of modesty will not easily put themselves in the shoes of someone who thinks he’s God’s gift to the human race and probably smarter than God Himself. They may be slow to realize that what they’re hearing is pure tommyrot–because they themselves are not in the habit of spouting such bilge.
Therefor I ridicule liberals and their absurd ideas, most of which are also very wicked ideas with great potential to harm innocent bystanders. If my audience can be made to laugh at liberals, they will soon find it in themselves to see through them.
The only thing about libs that isn’t funny is what they’ve done to this country, and what more harm they hope to do.

Your last line is one of vital importance. If we go along, and allow evil to flourish, we are part of the problem. I only listen to left-wing words long enough to keep abreast of what they are thinking so that I can see what needs to be done to combat them. We must know the enemy if we are
to win.
The gulf seems to be widening. The days of Reagan vs. Tip O’Neal and Clinton vs. Gingrich seem pretty tame by today’s standards.
I see it as being larger than politics. There is but one issue: respect for the sovereignty of the One True God. That’s it! If we love God, then we will see our neighbor as being God’s creation and show love to our neighbor. If we do this, we are fulfilling everything in the Law.
So it’s branded as conservative vs. liberal, but that is only one label and, in my humble opinion, it falls short of fully explaining the matter. As I see it, the terms “conservative” and “liberal” have been hijacked. There used to be a spectrum that ran across both parties, something that is all but forgotten today.
But the labels mislead. Are we, as individuals, governed by God and do we apply His standards to the questions of the day. It doesn’t matter what you or I think about an issue, God’s opinion is what matters and He is a loving, patient and very kind God, but He also has standards.
So, while the Pope weighs matters and various church bodies weigh matters, the standards that matter are God’s. It doesn’t matter who they choose to ordain or accept, because God is the one in charge, not them.
Amen, Unknowable! What irritates me is the left’s pompous arrogance – theirs is the only opinion worth voicing. Everyone else should be silent. Well, I do have a question for them. When God’s voice shakes the earth – and it will – will they still have an opinion?
Of late, I’ve come to the opinion that God will vindicate Hos name when Gog of Magog attacks Israel. At that time, any opinions held will have been informed by that event.
“But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. (Rev 9:20-21)”
I think there will come a time when it will be undeniable that God exists, but as hard as it is to believe, there will still be people who will not repent. Their hearts are hard like pharaoh. But God is going to separate the wheat from the tares, the sheep from the goats. Only then will there be peace.
I think you’re right, Watchman. JMO, but: I think that God will make the issues obvious to anyone that has their eyes and ears open. Some will repent and serve God, some won’t. The Gog of Magog attack will be, essentially, an attack on God Himself so no one will be able to claim ignorance.
Do you think the Psalm 83 attack will come before Magog?

It’s not necessary for people to subscribe to sites that are clearly God-believing – unless, of course, they have some doubt about their own “convictions” usually marked by disdain, anger, rage, ridicule. God is not to be mocked and I pity every one of them. If one doesn’t believe in the truth of the God of the Bible, then they believe in the lie of some other god or no god all, as do athiests. Humanists, however, do believe in a god – themselves. My own convictions come from God, not man. That’s why this is one of my favorite, and most comfortable, websites.
