Well, now I have to go hang around the Division of Motor Vehicles to get my driver’s license renewed, and I hope, I dearly hope, that it won’t take all morning.
Born and raised in New Jersey, lived here and drove here all my life, all they want today is my birth certificate, marriage certificate, Social Security card, and Medicare card. There is no truth at all to the rumor that starting next year, they’ll also want to see your third grade report card and a video of your christening before they’ll renew your driver’s license.
As Ronald Reagan said, government is not the answer to the problem: government is the problem.
I wonder how hard it would be to drive in New Jersey if you’re here illegally. Or do you just do it?
It is a nusiance alright for legal citizens, but for illegal, from what I have observed, no problem. They just don’t bother. The News of Record of all the local newspapers report accidents, traffic violations, etc. every week, and the names associated with these reports are almost 100% foreign.
Well thanks to the great state of Texas if you do not have any traffic tickets you can renew online.
I’m told that’s true for a number of states.
