Finally! ‘The Throne’

The Throne (Bell Mountain, 9)

At last, the ninth book of my Bell Mountain series, The Throne, is on sale. There’s been some difficulty in preparing the e-book edition, but the paperback is out and you can order it straight from the publisher, at http://www.chalcedon.edu/ (click “Store,” then “Fiction”), or from amazon.com, where they don’t yet have the picture, but that will probably come today.

Shout-outs to contest winners Savannah and Heidi: Savannah, I have your address, thanks so much for your patience, and I’ll ship your autographed copy to you ASAP (I’ve just received my author’s copies). Heidi, I need your address. Email it to me at leeduigon@verizon.net .

I’ll have more to say about this letter. For now, I’ve got to hustle because I have another doctor’s appointment this morning. *sigh*

And thanks to all of you who kept at it last night and helped me get those 6,000 hits for February!

  1. Hurray! Finally 🙂 This has certainly been much anticipated.

And I pray your doctor’s visit will bring only a good report.

  2. Blessings on all of your efforts. Blessings at the doc’s with a good report.
    congrats to the new winners.

  3. Lee, you may be interested to know that at least two of your books in The Bell Mountain Series are quite valuable – at least to a few sellers on Amazon:.

The Glass Bridge is listed at $1,471.48
The Last Banquet is listed at $689.59

In all seriousness, you may want to look into this. I’m not sure how it all works and I suppose sellers can list products they own at whatever price they wish, but I can’t imagine that this wouldn’t affect sales. It’s rather disturbing. I just typed your name into the search address bar on Amazon and your books all came up – most at normal prices, but these two . .

    1. Oh… fudge! We thought the problem was limited to The Cellar Beneath the Cellar, going to $2,900+. Ssss, gollum, gollum! Guess I’d better check ’em all. *Sigh*

  4. I’m looking forward to it. Currently, I’m nearing the end of the Last Banquet and, at this point, all but living and breathing the story. Next in the queue, I have a couple of non-fiction works I need to read, but then I’ll be back at it.

I am always quite impressed be the pace of your books and the way that characters are introduced and made a part of the story. The only writing I’ve ever done relates to business matters (contracts, RFPs, etc) and/or some very light duty technical writing, which experience teaches me that writing well is never easy. I can’t even imagine how you do it.

    1. I think I’m going to have this comment framed. Rocky Bridges said there are three things that everybody in the world thinks he can do: manage a baseball team, run a hotel, and write a book. By and large, he was right. So what you’ve said makes for a refreshing change!

    2. May I add my complete agreement with Unknowable. And while I agree that anybody probably can write a book, it takes the skill of a master to write one that everyone wants to read. You, Lee, have accomplished that, while always leaving us with anticipation for the next one! 🙂
