Science is always right about everything. Stephen Hawking is a prominent man of Science. Therefore Stephen Hawking is always right about everything. Or so the liberal logic goes.
Having jettisoned his belief in God, Hawking has climbed about the Doom & Gloom Express. First he says we’re all gonna die unless we colonize other planets. Global Warming gonna kill us. Then he says there might be aliens who’ll wipe us out. Or else Artificial Intelligence (created by blockheads) will do it.
This week, during a visit to India, he opined that we’re all gonna die unless we get a world government, which will prevent war and rein in “our aggressive instincts,” which are “hard-wired into our genes by Darwinian evolution,” blah-blah-blah ( http://zeenews.india.com/science/stephen-hawking-issues-warning-says-only-world-government-can-save-humanity-from-destruction_1984947.html ).
Why do scientists seem to know so very, very little about anything outside their special field of science?
World government–because everybody knows that the more power you give your rulers, the more wisely, humanely, and responsibly they will use it!
That’s their belief in a nutshell. And if you believe it, too–well, you need to get out more.
Once again, we see knowledge and (intelligence?) without wisdom. What a waste.
Is it just that the more you know about science, the less you know about everything else?
Why is it that no one can get such people to see the built-in problem with their calls for world government? This world government of theirs will be run by human beings, who, by the atheists’ and leftists’ own definitions, have had “aggressive instincts … hard-wired into their genes.” So who’s going to rein THEM in? Extraterrestrials?
Oh, Hawking worries about ETs, too.

Hawking has become a celebrity these days and, like so many celebrities, he has fallen under that delusion that any idea he has must be important.
Physicists have all sorts of answers, but in reality, much is speculative. Galaxies rotate faster than they should so they explain this by adding mass in to form of mysterious “dark matter” which we cannot see or detect in any way, except that we can measure it’s gravitational effects. So it must be there, or so they say.
Then, they discover that the Universe is expanding more rapidly than their understanding of matters would predict, so once again they explain it as “dark energy” which we cannot see or detect in any way, except that we can measure it’s effect upon the expansion of the Universe.
So, something like 95% of everything that exists is detectable only by its effects on known forms of matter, but they know nothing about its nature. One could substitute the word “imaginary” in place of the word “dark” and be every bit as accurate in describing the situation.
Before Einstein explains perturbations in Mercury’s orbit, the prevailing explanation was a band of asteroids that were too close to the Sun to be visible, which is not much different than calling it dark matter. BTW, as it turned out, Einstein figured it all out without invoking fairy dust or invisible asteroids.
I don’t know what has happened to Stephen Hawking of late, but his statements have gotten more and more sensational.
He’s got celebrity fever.
