If you still think science is science nowadays, and not just a lot of baccigaloops calling themselves “scientists” while they prattle nonsense, maybe you ought to think again.
The American Assn. of Physics Teachers, soon to gather for their annual Winter Summit, are all set to equip attendees with “pronoun pins” to reduce “instances of misgendering” ( https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=8903 ). Are you getting as tired of this as I am? Because, they say, “Gender can be fluid”–just like their brains, which seem to be leaking out their ears–they must “improve inclusiveness” by recognizing that some men aren’t men and some women aren’t women, and some want to be called “ze/zir/zirs”–
You really want these people teaching? I wouldn’t let them teach a cat to use a litter box.
I only mention it because it’s just more proof, if any more were necessary, that our “education” industry has become a Godless and deluded enterprise and we’d be better off without it. What’s physics worth, if it’s going to be taught by idiots like these? Go on, anybody–show me some evidence that this kind of education produces positive results.
People who love and respect their sons and daughters do not subject them to a public school or university.
Add to this the fact that many of the founders, the discoverers whose work lays the foundation for modern physics, were believers. Newton and Faraday come swiftly to mind, but there were others. Even Dr. Einstein hinted at belief in a Higher Power, although he never plainly stated that he believed in the God of the bible.
I’ve always felt that knowing the overall order of things, knowing that the Universe was created and is purposeful, helps one to think clearly. There are few absolutes if you don’t believe in God, but that one absolute fact helps to solidify much about the physical realm and, truly, all of life. One thing’s for certain, it greatly reduces the need for gender pins.
I don’t see how there can be order without a Creator, an orderer; and there can’t be any science without order, or there would be nothing to discover. They get around this by arguing that nature “self-organizes.” What piffle. Don’t stand around waiting to see that happen.
I know that anything I have ever tried to organize tends to resist my efforts and require continuous attention. Humans can organize some things, even animals can organize some things (beavers build dams) but these are nothing compared to the order within the simplest living cell.
In the days of Newton, Galileo and Faraday, natural science was thought to be a pursuit of interest to the faithful, not an exercise in atheism. Even Darwin had room in his beliefs for a Higher Power, he just believed that his theory was the modus operandi of the Creator. He did fall in love with his own theory, but he never displayed the brazen hatred of a Creator that his modern day adherents seem to have adopted.
Yep, the law of entropy is in full swing, and nowehere is it more evident than in the minds (minds?) of these”people”. What a waste of time.
