Are All Our Leaders Crazy?

I heard Newt Gingrich the other day, on my car radio, discussing the failure of the country-club Republicans’ bill to replace Obamacare–the bill that was pulled without a vote. And what he said astounded me. I may not have it 100% verbatim, but I can give it to you close enough.

“What we [he means the government] have to do is provide for everyone to live as long as possible, with the highest quality of life as possible, at the lowest cost as possible.”

Whoa! Hit the brakes! What constitution did that come out of? The federal government is now charged with maximizing our individual life-spans?

Or, to put it another way, do you really, truly want to be dependent upon a lot of slimy pols and bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., for how long you live?

Gingrich, formerly Speaker of the House–why does that post always go to some kind of reptile?–is supposed to be some kind of conservative. I don’t know what kind. The kind with a total humanist mind-set that expects sinful, deluded, not all that intelligent human beings to do the things that only God can do. But then that’s no conservative at all, but a mere D.C. dyed-in-the-wool statist.

Where is it written that the federal government is to take charge of healthcare, anyway?

How’s about the government try something really revolutionary, and leave us alone?

  1. To answer your question I think we know the outcome…YES they are nuts, blind and have No concept of what our Lord spoke about over 2000 years ago. Listening to Russ Dizar at the hear the watchman conference on you tube and realized folks we has the Greatest intel, far greater than any CIA, FBI, Mayor so called leaders of Our states and our country. We as believers have Intel to what is Coming! We have the power to trample serpents push back the darkness and for those who are seeking we have power through our Lord Jesus Christ to win souls. We must be bold and Trust in God’s word because we know the Intel kids…we know because our Father has told us.GLORY BE TO OUR KING. THE ALPHA AND OMEGA….WE ALL MUST NOW BE A BEREAN.

I think that they tried this in 1776, and it worked pretty well until fairly recently.

Building upon Shannon’s comment, it comes down to who’s take on things a person wishes to accept. If we believe in God and that He sent a redeemer to pave the way for future blessings, we will look to those solutions. If we believe mankind can solve the problems, we will adopt the mindset of many politicians and will hang on the every word of those that promise redemption from human sources.

It seems to me that more and more politicians from the conservative background are not adopting the humanist approach. I guess that I shouldn’t be surprised. Gingrich sounds far different from the Gingrich of 1995. McCain, the senator from these parts, is a long-time republican, but now strikes me as having changed his viewpoint to a more liberal/humanist approach.

But we have great insights from the Bible and while it saddens me to see these things, it does not surprise me in any way.

    1. Amen!!! Would be like heaven if the human government’s where off our backs. Looking forward to the day when Jesus sets up His government of truth, justice and most important of all Love. True unconditional love. Oh what a Glorious day this will be. We know what that day will look like…it will be heaven. Blessings to you all.

    2. The success of the U.S. was, in great part, because it was designed to be a minimal form of government that allowed freedom. Freedom let is excel, it let us innovate and it let us prosper. Imagine how much better it will be when we serve Jesus as king.

  3. Haven’t read the article yet, don’t really need to before answering the question “are our leaders nuts?” the answer is YES, without a doubt.
    Satan’s control makes one crazy.
