Anyway, for those of you who might be having second thoughts about having voted for Donald Trump, the Democrat alternative, Hillary Clinton, is to be honored next month by Planned Parenthood as the abortion industry’s “Champion of the Century” ( http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/04/11/hillary-clinton-receive-planned-parenthoods-champion-century-award/ )–as Planned Parenthood celebrates 100 years of snuffing babies.
Crikey, who would even want to be the abortion “Champion of the Century”? What kind of person wants that after her name?
Presidential wannabe Clinton’s platform included public funding for abortion on demand. That means everybody pays for it.
I’m still glad I supported Trump.
Amidst the flapdoodle constituting Planned Parenthood’s announcement, we find the usual left-wing definition of abortion as one of the ways that women and girls “follow their dreams.” Democrats are always saying this. Killing your baby is how you follow your dreams. Remember when Obama described a hypothetical grandchild as a “mistake”? A mistake to be erased by an abortion. Follow that dream.
It’s a dreary and tiresome business, reporting news like this. But we do need to know what we’re up against.
When Moses found Israel worshiping the golden calf, he cried out, “Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him come to me!” (Exodus 32:26)
We cannot hide from those words.
People are showing their true colors all around us. If one wants to sanction literal murder and call it reproductive health, they bear the stain of their choice thereafter.
Look at the genocides of the last century or so and compare those notorious events to the number of human lives ended by abortion. In numbers, The Holocost, which may well be the worst event in the collective memory of Western civilization, took a fraction of the lives lost to abortion in the US alone. I’m not saying this to minimize The Holocost in any way; I see that as one of the worst events ever, but there is something puzzling to me ability of people to ignore these deaths.
That having been said, I am appalled that there are people whom promote the practice the way Hillary has. In 2008, she stated that she wanted abortion to be “safe, legal and rare, and by rare, I mean rare.” Hmmmm? I guess that I need to join up with Joe Collidge so I can be reeducated until I realize that “rare” means over a million times per year, in the US alone.
If we are proven right in our biblical view, and there is a Day of Judgement, what will be the justification for this? This goes beyond passive allowance of the practice and crosses the line into active promotion. It promotes a viewpoint that we are not in control of our passions. I agree that young people should be free to pursue their dreams, but if a person chooses to be sexually active, there is a possibility of conception and I believe strongly that the participants have an absolute responsibility towards any lives they participate in creating.
When I was younger. I lived biblical morality, but I didn’t always appreciate how important it was. With age, experience, and seeing the results others have had, I have come to treasure biblical morality and see it as a gift. Nuclear families are the building block of civilization and immorality works to undermine the family. How glad I am that I don’t have children from several mothers. How glad I am that I don’t have STDs. How glad I am that I don’t have a string of former casual paramours in my memory. None of this is because of any righteousness or goodness on my part; it is solely because I was availed the wisdom of the Bible and was able to avoid these snares. I’ve made many mistakes in my life, but God’s word helped me to avoid making more mistakes.
Abortion is nothing more or less than an attempt to distance us from responsibility for our actions. As such, it has to fail, because no one can ever escape the effects of iniquity.

It’s all part of the culture of death, which begins as supposed concern about “hard cases” (but usually has more to do with one’s own squeamishness or selfishness), rapidly turns homicidal, and eventually becomes suicidal. Most Western countries now have birth rates well below the replacement rate, and some have reached the point of no return, the point from which no civilization has ever recovered.
As for the “Champion of Baby-Murder,” I couldn’t help thinking of a section from Alexander Pope’s “Essay on Man”:
“Vice is a monster of so frightful mien
As to be hated needs but to be seen;
Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face,
We first endure, then pity, then embrace.”
It also makes me think of a line from I, Claudius: “From vices timidly concealed, to vices openly flaunted…”
To go down in history as the champion of abortion strikes me as an exceedingly dubious distinction. But who ever said Hillary Clinton had any shame?
Great quote and quite timely. All sorts of things that were tolerated a generation ago are now flaunted and supported by society at large.
As it appears to me, Hillary has but one goal: to collect votes. When there’s an election coming up she makes the rounds to appease any demographic that might make a voting bloc and she DOESN’T forget them. As soon as the next election comes around, she’ll be back to see them again. In the meantime . . . well, she’s very busy. 🙂
