A Prayer for Courage

I do try to maintain my postmillenial morale–but the Lord knows it ain’t easy! Not when you’re covering the news, it ain’t.

O Lord our God, there are wicked persons everywhere trying to tear down everything that’s good, and estrange your people from their God. You don’t need me to tell you who they are and what they’re doing. It makes my head spin, just trying to keep up with it.

Father, we are your people, we belong to Jesus Christ our King. In His name we pray you to give us courage and to fortify our faith. Make us strong and enduring, resourceful, steadfast, and true, so that we might serve you as we should: and go before us, Lord, and tread down your enemies. Amen.

    1. I don’t know that I have friend troubles. I sure would like more referrals, though. That’s what I need around here.

    2. Yeah, my only trouble here is that my referrals from Facebook stopped for no reason, and this month my views are down 30% because of that. WordPress says there’s nothing they can do to help.

    3. Friend, this is not Facebook, not a chat room or a cell phone. It has its humorous aspects, but this is a serious enterprise which demands a lot of hard work and deep concentration from me. Which means I can’t just chat with everybody who wants to chat.

But that’s okay, because there are a lot of people here to chat with. Get to know them, you’ll like them.

      And now, back to work.

    4. okay sorry for disturbing you i am just new to this this is hard for me to deal with i am just 13 years old my parents are dead and i have to live with my mean birth mother who abuses me and i have to live with that my whole life how do you think i feel i have bruises all over my face. i just want to talk to someone would actually be nice to me and not be so rude. sorry but that is what i am dealing with that is why i made this chat in the first place so encourage and help people out with friend problems not just to chat to HELP THEM !!!!!!!!!!! and if you don’t like then fine get help from some other person then good day byeeeeeeeeeee

    5. oh and by the way get perspective and i know it is not a chat room i actually care about people’s friendships have fun writing your Book. ggggggoooooooooooooodddddddddddd bbbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeee

    6. I am very sorry that I hurt your feelings. I didn’t mean to. It never entered my mind that you might be reaching out from a very bad personal situation.

We here will be happy to pray for you, if you like.

It sounds like you need some hands-on, person-to-person help that no blog or website can provide. I pray you receive it soon.

    7. Hi, Torrence. I hope you do understand that there’s only so much a guy on the Internet can provide. You need something much more personal. Aunts and uncles, grandparents, brothers, sisters, cousins–or else a pastor, priest, or rabbi–you’ve got to find somebody like that to be with.

As long as you’re here, though, it would be good for you to get to know some of the other regular commenters on this site. They’re nice people, and we will all pray for you, if you want.

    8. I wasn’t answering because I wasn’t home. And I do have full-time work to do during the day.
Get to know the regular commenters on this site. They’re nice people, and we all talk to one another.

  1. Amen! We surely need Holy Spirit given courage to stand in these uncertain and unsettling days. Come, Lord Jesus!

‘Soldiers of the Lion’ by Chuck Girard is always good for encouragement, Lee.

  2. Amen-Amein!! God Bless all my Sisters and Brothers in Christ Jesus-Yeshua and Your Families and Friends!!

Love Always and Shalom ( Peace ), YSIC \o/
