I love Tolkien and I love Leonard Nimoy; but put them together, and the result is jaw-droppingly awful. I mean, people have been put to death for lesser crimes.
Who among you is tough enough to watch all two-and-a-half minutes of this horrific video?

I first encountered it a few years ago; someone had put the music with a different video so I didn’t even know at the time that it was Leonard Nimoy. Just a few weeks ago it was stuck in my head and I kept singing parts of it 😀
I think what makes it bad is the ridiculous music video that goes along with it; the song itself is truer to the books than The Hobbit movies monstrosities were, and it’s humorous as well 🙂
“Truer than the Hobbit movies” is setting the bar very, very low. In fact, it’s burying the bar somewhere in the ground and forgetting where you put it.
