We’ve seen a lot of video of cats and babies really hitting it off together; but here the cats appear to be confused. Read the cat’s mind: “What is this thing? Is it a new kind of printer?” Makes you wonder if a cat really understands just what a baby is.
By the way, this is the first time I have used the word “enigma” in a headline. I am sure it has great potential.
They don’t seem to know just what to do. In fact. they seem a bit hesitant at this new creature, but it’s my guess that in no time they’ll be curled up together 🙂
I was pretty much thinking along the same lines. They know it’s a human, but what is this human going to do? I suspect that they have instincts specific to infants, I’ve even heard of animals nurturing infants of other animal species, for all they know, this infant human could be capable of anything and they want to be careful for their own sake.
the enigma reminds me of the old quote by Churchill: a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma, or something like that
