Well, suddenly Robbie is off her feed, throwing up hairballs, spitting up some of the food she does eat, and making my wife frantic while giving me a sickly feeling in the deeps of my stomach. We don’t know if this is a reaction to her ear gel medication or what.
So she went from all-the-time ravenous to just picking at her food, from zooming all around the apartment to acting much more laid-back and normal, and I don’t know what to make of it. If she weren’t spitting up so much, I’d say it was just hairballs and stop worrying about it. But there are only four of us in this little family, and I ask for your prayers for our protection.
Please, Father, in Jesus’ name… heal our cat. Amen.
Call the vet in the morning. It could be unrelated, maybe she’s just a bit under the weather. I know that my cat has a heck of a problem with hairballs and sometimes she spits up food copiously. I’d keep an eye on it, but I don’t think it’s necessarily a serious problem.

Father, your eye is on even the sparrow. Please deal kindly with Robbie and heal whatever is wrong. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Thank you, Father.

Yes, do take her to the vet, just to make sure everything’s okay and the medication isn’t causing a problem. Meanwhile, I’ll keep praying. It’s so hard on us when our pets are suffering and we don’t know how to help.
My own cat, by the way, has always had an upchuck problem. When he eats too fast or too much, or something suddenly disagrees with him for no discernible reason, he throws up. This happens about once or twice a week, and sometimes more than once on a given day. It has nothing to do with hairballs most of the time. When he was a kitten, I had him back and forth to the vet repeatedly, but she couldn’t find anything wrong with him, not even worms. So I finally decided I just had a bulimic cat, and I got used to cleaning up upchuck a couple of times a week, letting his stomach settle for an hour or so, and trying again. He’s now 13 years old and still doing it.
Thanks, Phoebe. Robbie has an appointment with the vet for next week. Meanwhile, as of late last night, she has begun to eat again and hasn’t spat up in 24 hours. I think maybe the prayers are working.
