‘Rock of Ages’ (It’s the Gospel)

This is one of the world’s best known and best loved hymns–Rock of Ages, by Augustus Toplady, published in 1775, the year of Lexington and Concord. Here we have it sung by the Antrim Mennonite Choir.

We’ve heard this hymn so often that it’s easy to take it for granted. But see the lyrics: this is indeed the Gospel message. This is the good news we all need to hear.

  1. I love it too. Here is another I dearly love. Paul Wilbur singing “For Your Name is Holy”. We need more of this, less of the discouraging “nooz” of the day. Thank you.

    1. I see it as my duty to post some of that wretched nooze every day. But I’ll start off tomorrow with your hymn.

  2. Thank you. I will look forward to it. I know, we need to keep up on the news no matter how aggravating. We need more “sons of Issachar” who
understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do. We sure need
    discernment these days.
