By Request: ‘The Pleiades and Orion’

Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name…”   —Amos 5:8

Text by the Holy Spirit; music by John Michael Talbot: a song of praise to God the Creator. Requested by my chess buddy, <optimal play>.

If you’re new to this blog, the hymn shop is always open for requests; so if there’s a hymn you’d like to see posted here, just let us know.

  1. Oh my. How beautiful! Glorious and filled with praise. And the scenery is breathtaking. Thank you so much, Lee, and thanks to your friend for requesting it. This one is new to me, but I surely will be listening many times. What a reverent and thankful way to begin a day.

Side note: It took me a minute but I realized who this singer’s style reminded me of – Michael Crawford.

  2. Beautiful indeed. Another that I love is An Evening Prayer by Carroll Roberson. Very touching.

    1. I’ll be sure to use it, but there’s one more request in the queue (did I really spell that right?) ahead of you. I try to grant all hymn requests, even if it takes me more than a day or two. Because they’re important.
