Now, that is really cute. That cat has a lot more patience than my cat.
My red Persian used to do this with crumpled-up cigarette packs (empty, of course). My next cat, the Himalayan, did a reverse fetch — he knocked the ball or rubber band or whatever toy we were using across the room, and I fetched it for him so he could knock it across the room again. My current cat prefers to play alone — except for knocking a toy under the furniture every now and then and then waiting for me to extricate it for him.
