Every time I see that grey cat sleeping on the arm of the chair, I crack up. Our cat Peep likes to sleep face-down: blamed if I know how she breathes. But in this video there are cats who sleep in stranger positions than that. How do their skeletons put up with it?
Cats are contortionists of the first order! It’s a puzzlement how one the one hand they can curl themselves up into the smallest spaces, and on the other, they can stretch themselves out far enough to ensure you have nowhere to sit 🙂
It’s a law of physics that a cat expands to take up all available sleeping (or sitting) space. I long ago developed the habit of sleeping on a narrow strip of mattress at the side of a bed because a cat was taking up the rest of the bed. 🙂
Uh-oh, I shouldn’t have watched this early in the morning before going to church. There’s nothing more soporific than watching a cat sleep. My eyelids have grown heavy. I hope I don’t topple over in the pew.
How do they do it? I don’t know how many times I’ve seen a cat sleeping in an impossible position over the years.
If I leave my bed during the night, usually my cat will claim the spot I was sleeping in as her own. I’ve learned not to dispute that claim. 🙂
My house rabbit is 12 years old. While eating her breakfast of parsley and lettuce she will fall asleep with her head resting on the lettuce.
