I never heard this hymn before. Isn’t it beautiful? Send the Light, sung by the Altar of Praise Men’s Chorale, a good old hymn from 1890–make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

It is great. I remember it from my childhood. Too bad it is not sung more often today.
I’ve never heard this one before, but I’m glad I’ve heard it now. Very inspiring. We do need many more people to spread the Gospel. Fewer and fewer people seem to have heard it — or even heard OF it, except as (maybe) some kind of, y’know, fascist hate speech.
That’s what we’re here for, in our own small way. Except leftids can’t tell the difference between truth and hat speach.
Beautiful. Thank you, Lee. This is one I hadn’t heard before either. May His Light shine even into the deepest corners of the world in the hearts of men.
“Send the light” is a great prayer when communing with our living Christ.
Yes, I often pray that the Lord will send His light into the darkened minds of unbelievers, and more light to those of us who are believers with still so much more to learn.
Yep. We sing it regularly. 🙂
I just read a fascinating article on the same theme at LifeSiteNews.com:
