‘Whom Shall I Send?’

In the year that King Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up… Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here I am; send me.    Isaiah 6:1, 8

It’s an awesome responsibility to speak God’s Word. Isaiah was terrified because he was, as he put it, a man of unclean lips: a sinner. But so are we all, and the King of Kings has given it to His church to proclaim both His glory and His right to rule.

Susan requested this hymn. Oddly, I was just thinking it was time to post it again–only I couldn’t remember the title. So thank you, Susan.

  1. Seeing those young boys singing reminded me of singing in the youth choir as a young boy when I had a high-octave voice. Such a pretty song, and such a powerful word!! “Lord, send us!!”
