It’s even scarier than what you describe in your incisive article. Before the 19th century, virtually no country in the world had laws against slavery. It had been the way of the world since the beginning of recorded history — although popes, Christian missionaries, and other individual Christian preachers had regularly protested against it. So that means all literature, art, music, historiography, and even technology produced during the pre-modern era must be discarded as “unsafe.” And “pre-modern” itself will probably come to mean anything before the Civil Rights Act — and then Black Lives Matter or whatever the latest “movement” is.
Come to think of it, the “unsafe” label won’t be confined to chronology, or even geography (viz. the South). It’s already being applied to anyone who doesn’t go along with the current leftist tantrums. And, ironically, to a particular skin tone, i.e., white.
First of all, great article, Lee. Second, let me remind everyone – Egypt held Israelites as slaves long before there was an America! It was not MLK,Jr., but God, through Moses, who first said “Let My people go”.
These days, we have things like this going on:

Nice work, Lee.
It was a nightmare for me when the Clintons were my Governor for 11 years, then my President for 8 years. After a reprieve of 8 years, it was another nightmare when *Batteries Not Included* was President for 8 years. Enough of political nightmares, let the Light shine in – it seems to be a new day in America.
