I’ll have to be careful writing this, lest my temper get the better of me.
Once again the Left shows us who they are. And in their usual fashion–mocking victims of a massive crime or natural disaster. When the hurricanes hit, celebrities you never heard of said it was the victims’ just desserts for not believing in Global Warming. Now, a crowd of innocent people are murdered in their church and celebrities you never heard of… well, they couldn’t be happier.

I find myself thinking of them as hormads–the “synthetic men” in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Synthetic Men of Mars. Created in culture vats to be supermen, hormads are typically hideous, grossly deformed, and very badly deranged.
We, the American people, created these Hollywood hormads. We have showered them with fame and riches… and they hate us.
The Lord rebuke them.

It is the worship of these things which is at the root of the problem. People today worship fame and riches over and above God Himself. The hateful vitriol posted with regard to those shootings is a shocking revelation of just how wicked and corrupt the Left has become.
I agree with your prayer, Lee. We should not be surprised at this group of heathen and their heartless remarks. Jesus, Himself told us we would be hated in the last days (and even in His time on earth). We are in all-out
war with the enemy. We all know who that is.
I would like to say I’m surprised, but really I’m not.
What’s encouraging is that they’ve exposed themselves for what they are. Now we know them.
What’s discouraging is that they feel confident enough in their power to display what they are.
I think that’s a key point. These people are showing their true colors to man, and to the Son of Man. When the Christ arrives it will be known where people stand.

This is astounding! It is not a matter of political viewpoint, this has become a matter of worship. These are pagan rites being played out very publicly. It’s nithing more, nothing less.
Take a step back, the worshippers of Baal are openly challenging the worshippers of the Creator. It’s that simple.
They’ve certainly become much more ‘in-your-face’ about their sick, blasphemous idolatry. God will have something to say about this.
To my sensibilities , it’s really a key issue. We know that when The Christ takes the Judgment Seat, the sheep and goats will be separated with the goats going off into negative judgment. This HAS to mean that people will not choose a course merely from ignorance, but deliberately. No one receiving adverse judgement will be judged unjustly. We are seeing more and more people taking a stand against God Himself and becoming ever more open in doing so.
The flip side, as I see it, is that people worldwide are having the opportunity to see the issues in stark relief. They will be prepared to make a good choice because they will have seen the issues for what they are. It’s not simply church vs disbelief, it’s understanding that acknowledgment of our Creator goes to the core of our very existence and is part of our everyday life. Ultimately, these extreme behaviors will serve to help people choose wisely.
I’ve often wondered why God has allowed matters to get to this point, but I think it will work out for the salvation of the greatest number of people and the ultimate sanctification of God’s Holy Name. As those in darkness become evermore open in their worship of God’s opposer, goodhearted people will come to appreciate the need to worship their creator.
When this is all over, and that day will come, we will be echoing the words of Romans 11:33. “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!“
I couldn’t agree more with all you’ve said. And I was just reading Romans last night – that verse included.
In my prayers each night, I discuss with Father those who are ignorant and those who intentionally choose evil. He knows the difference and I’m sure He smiles at my concern, but I keep praying about it anyway 🙂
I don’t believe that anyone will ever be punished for ingnorance. Intentionally choosing against the Creator is another matter.
In Catholicism, the term for honestly not knowing something is wrong or untrue — through no fault of your own — is “invincible ignorance,” and we believe that God doesn’t hold anyone guilty for something they honestly don’t know. (The kicker is “honestly.” Rationalizing and equivocating don’t count.)
I’ve always loved that term. When I was still wrestling with whether or not Christianity was true — or, more accurately, whether I was willing to give in to what I could hardly keep denying was true — I said to my best Catholic friend, “Maybe I’ll just cop a plea of invincible ignorance.” “Oh, no,” she said, “once you know enough to claim it, it’s too late.” 🙂
And then on the other side of the aisle we find… impenetrable ignorance.
Romans 8:28 is a test of faith: Do we believe all things (not some things, or the things we think we understand) work together for good to those who love God? Yes or no. Faith is the battle, and it is our faith that overcomes the world. We should strive to be able to say with the Apostle Paul “I have kept the faith.”
