Liberal nooze icon Charlie Rose is the latest big-shot to be accused of sexually harassing women: eight of them, count ’em, have come forward so far, according to another left-wing nooze giant, The Washington Post (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/charlie-rose-accused-sexual-harassment-by-eight-women-1060441).

The reports say Rose, 75 years old and ought to know better, pestered the women with lewd phone calls, groping and pawing, and poncing around nude where they could see him. For a man who loves to pass himself off as Mr. Feminist, that’s gotta hurt.

Rose has apologized for his “inappropriate behavior.” And now hear this. As a result of this shambles, he says, “I have come to a profound new respect for women and their lives.” Crocodile tears!

It makes a great model for the next two or three dozen big libs who are unmasked as sexual predators. “Gee whiz, I can’t tell you how sorry I am for what I now realize wasn’t quite the ticket, behavior-wise. Like, really, I had no idea! But oh, boy, have I learned my lesson! Now I see, I really see, just how victimized women always are, and from now on, I’m in their corner all the way! Or will be, if the network only puts my show back on the air.”

    1. I would find it hard to apply this to Juanita Broddrick (sp?) or Kathleen Willey. One size doesn’t fit all.

    1. I see two possible scenarios. 1) It ends when big-shots stop getting away with it. 2) Or it ends when too many false accusations neutralize the whole shootin’ match, in which case the big shots go back to business as usual and getting away with it as usual.

      Remember the Duke lacrosse team.

  1. This hole is really, really deep. The hypocrisy is astonishing and the whole mess is sickening. It looks as though there will be much more to come – between Washington, D.C. and Hollywood – before they’re through. Once one’s purpose is served, the clothesline comes out. Will these perverts never learn that Satan is a liar?

  2. That column by Joan Swirsky was quite good. She makes a great point about all of this. Many of these women were quite happy to compromise themselves in order to get ahead in Hollywood. They seem to be coming out of the woodwork now, but some of these allegations are decades old; why the delay.

I’ve learned that when something appears to possibly be corrupt it’s quite likely that it is corrupt and in more than one instance, I have found myself appalled by the depth of that corruption. Men that prey upon multiple women seem unable to get enough. They continue to seek new adventures with as many women as possible. I see this as sick behavior. How long will it be before there is an epidemic of STDs? At the rate morals seem to be declining, I wouldn’t be surprised if something of this nature comes to pass.

People live up, or down, to their expectations. If youngsters are raised to see sex as a favor to be traded, they will calibrate their expectations accordingly. What will America be like if the expectations are that women act like prostitutes and man act like customers thereof? I’ve seen far too much of that attitude already and I fear that it’s getting worse.

  3. CBS has made it pretty clear Charlie Rose is never coming back. I always knew he was a hypocrite politically but the latest hypocrisy of being such a big feminist takes the cake.
And I see where Kevin Spacey used to accompany Bill Clinton to that secret Caribbean Island when he ditched his Secret Service detail.
