My Newswithviews Column, Dec. 7 (‘Human Rights Commission Grills Death Authors’)

I have finally achieved a satire which no one can possibly mistake for reality.

I hope.

  1. Actually, after viewing a video of a city council meeting, with the mayor (who looked like a woman, but who knows?) berating another council member for not acknowledging her “white privilege” and the two arguing
for several minutes, after which the mayor began to cry, I think I could believe almost anything. Sometimes, I almost envy the dead author in your narrative. whew! stop the world, I want to get off.

    1. Oh, I found that video! Appalling that any place in America should be governed by such out-and-out morons. Did she really say “I know more people of color than you”?

If there ever was an occasion that called for a loud, long raspberry, that was it.,

Maybe I’ll post this shameful spectacle tomorrow.

    1. Not in the least! Thus, the smiley face. But it was a welcome relief from the ‘news’ 🙂

  2. Speaking of revisionism, how about the current Pope wanting to revise the Lord’s Prayer because in its current form it is dishonoring to the Lord. The Pope says “Lead us not into temptation” means God leads us into temptation, so he has changed it to “Let us not fall into temptation” and praises the Roman Catholics in France (I didn’t know they still had any) for saying it his way. Maybe we should rename it “The Pope’s Prayer.”

    1. C’mon now, he took time out from his busy schedule of fighting Climbit Change and spreading socialism, just to do this…

  3. I’ve been unable to get to News With Views all day today, either through your link or just going directly to the site. Must be down for maintenance or sumpin’. But my initial reaction to your headline is that if dead people can vote, there’s no reason for them not to give interviews.

    1. How odd. Once again I’ve tried to get to the site — not just through the link, but directly, and the system keeps waiting and waiting and then timing out. I even checked to see whether the site had been accidentally blocked from my system, but my settings don’t show any blocking. Hmmmm…. And I can’t even blame WordPress for this one. Weird.
