These owls are pets, and look how adaptable they are. I don’t suppose owls get much petting in the wild, but these owls are really into being petted.
There is a legend that a pet owl belonging to the Smith Brothers (which one in particular, I’m not certain) inspired The Girl from Ipanema, but I’m not sure what good it does us to know that.
The relationship of humans to animals is astounding. From the materialist, atheist standpoint it makes no sense, but for those of us whom believe that we were created purposefully it makes perfect sense. On of our jobs is to care for the animal realm to the best of our abilities, and we can see from these videos that humans seem to want to do this.
I’ve never heard the tie-in toThe Girl From Ipanema before, but when it comes to sources of inspiration for music, I’m more than willing to be,I’ve thst. It’s a favorite song and a compositional masterpiece employing harmonic devices very rarely seen in any song.
My mother collected owls so I inherited some of them that help adorn our home. I never would have thought a real owl could be buddies with a dog – amazing stuff.
Every time I see one of these adorable owl videos, it makes me want to run out and get one! 🙂
