  1. They are neat little birds. I once found a fledgling Jay that had fallen out of its nest. I found a person willing to raise it and brought it to her. By the time I got him there, he had decided that I was his parent and didn’t want me to go. They are wonderful birds.

    1. Would you believe they’re related to crows?
Now it seems I’ve fixed the comments after all. Would someone please tell me what I did?

    2. I did not know that. Crows are amazing as well, noisy and boisterous, but very smart. No idea what you did, but it seems to have worked.

    3. Jays and crows are both noisy birds, but both very smart! Crows, like parrots, have the ability to talk as well. Blue Jays are quite bold too. I’ve seen them swoop right down and snatch a peanut right out of the mouth of a squirrel!

Glad the comments are back 🙂

  2. I feed the bluejays in my neighborhood every morning by placing peanuts on top of my wooden privacy fence. As I do my morning exercises on the patio, I can hear the jays coming by the bark they make. First they lite down on a tree branch, then gracefully let gravity pull them down to the fence. With a whole peanut in their mouth they can still bark away! And they take turns. They always remind of that song “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.”
