The Super Bowl… vs. America’s Self-Respect

See the source image

Let’s see… They insult us all year long by kneeling instead of standing for the National Anthem, they call us a crummy no-good racist country… And we’re gonna watch their Big Fat Game? Really?

Do we really have so little self-respect as that? How badly, how desperately, do we need to see another stupid football game? Is there anything they can say to us, any way they can show us yet more clearly what they think of us, that might drive away their audience?

We really do ask for it, don’t we?

Projected viewership of Super Bowel (intentional typo) 52 is down 16% from last year.

That’s not enough to drive home the lesson. Nowhere near enough.

Can it be that we just don’t care enough to pass up a football game? There’s nothing else that we can do tomorrow?

Shame on us.

  1. What’s even worse is that they’d be suspended if they were kneeling to pray instead of to disrespect America.

  2. I’ve come to the conclusion that we are too entertainment-oriented. And some of the stuff that passes for entertainment would have made people blush a couple of decades ago.

  3. Right on, Watchman! I have always hated football, so giving it up is not an issue. As for most movies, I have to leave the room when they come on, so all this is a moot question for me.

  4. And let’s not forget to mention their satanic, occult half-time shows with the in-your-face symbolism! The whole thing is a disgusting mess. I’ll be reading my Bible instead.

I wonder how many would tune in or buy tickets or hit their knees if it were Jesus appearing.

  5. Too bad you just don’t get it, your picture is from the trump protest, after he insulated the entire league. The NFL is still the most watched programming on US TV.

I love the NFL and will be watching every moment of the big game. Too bad for your that you can’t take your hate-binders off and enjoy the game for what it is!

    1. It’s nearly impossible to enjoy a football game anymore, even if we wanted to, despite the ‘take-a-knee’ crowd. The games are obviously rigged – decided by referees with many, many intentionally questionable and sometimes outrageous calls. Too much money involved.
