We have these little birds in our neighborhood, with cameo appearances by much bigger woodpeckers.
Does anyone here remember the “Woody Woodpecker Song”? My cousin Jerry and I used to drive our families nuts by singing it all the time when we were kids.

I have no memory of the “Woody Wood-Pecker. U feel so uncultured. Before we had to cut down our big maple tree in the backyard the woodpeckers liked to “drum” on it.
