Bonus Hymn: ‘Blessed Assurance’

That news about the stabbing at the library left a bad taste in my mouth. They’re killing our culture, and the culture is killing us back. So let’s wash it out with a hymn by Fanny Crosby–Blessed Assurance, performed by Nathan (mandolin) and Lyle (guitar) with family and friends, Denton County, Texas.

Do you believe the talent that’s out there? The girl in the purple shirt: she sings like an angel–man, does she sing!–and also plays the flute.

Ah, that’s better. Feeling sane again. Thank you, Lord.

  1. Blessed Assurance – a real blessing, and one of my favorites. In my part of the country, we have just been through a two day blizzard, can’t plow the private road to the highway fast enough to keep up. I’m still not feeling very well at all, and the internet has been intermittent at best for the last three days. sigh… Hope things will be better today.

    1. You’re in my daily prayers, Erlene.
But don’t worry about the blizzard–Science says it didn’t really snow! It’s only an illusion caused by Global Warming and Climbit Change.

  2. Nathan and Lyle and their family and friends are always a blessing, no matter which song they’re performing. Blessed Assurance is one of those wonderful hymns that always comforts.

Erlene, you’re always in my prayers, along with your family.
