Christ Pantokrator–Ruler of All

There are stories floating around out there today that I just can’t bring myself to cover. There’s a limit to how much I can subject myself or my readers. Great evil and great madness are afoot, much of which borders on what H.P. Lovecraft called “the perfection of the hideous”–and I suspect a lot of this stuff would be too hideous even for him.

I reached that decision after encountering a report that “many men,” instructed mostly by pornography, “now prefer sex-bots to real women.” And that’s real good for us, says the guy who sells them. If he plays his cards right, he might get a seat on the World Happiness Council.

We need to cling to this: that God sees everything, and that He sees also the things that we can’t see. And does things that we can’t see Him doing. His enemies march boldly back and forth upon the earth, bragging about all the things they’re going to do, just you wait, it’s gonna be great…

If this were a chess game I was watching, I would be dismayed.

But in the end God says “Checkmate!” and one by one, and two by two, the enemy’s pawns and pieces vanish from the board, never to be seen again. Game over. God wins.

We are to be as watchmen, says Ezekiel. We are to report what we see; it may be some people will listen, and remove themselves from the path to disaster. But there are times when we needn’t dwell on the unedifying details.

God the Father will put all things under Jesus Christ, His Son, as king of kings and lord of lords, the only potentate whose right it is to rule.

Hang on to that.

  1. The condition of human society seems to be declining rapidly. If a breeder of animals saw that his breeding stock preferred an artificial mate to a real mate that breeder would be very alarmed. The human race is in big, big trouble right now. The things we see happening are symptomatic of an unraveling society. Hopefully the true ruler will appear soon.

  2. Robots, Sexbots, Artificial Intelligence, Singularity, Transhumanism, Cyborgs, Drones – all are demonically inspired and invading at a record pace.
    .
You’re so right, Lee. Sometimes the insanity is just too insane to report.

    Come, Lord Jesus!

    1. I once played a game like that. My opponent was mowing down my pieces, and he turned to a third party and said, “I thought you said this guy (me) was supposed to be good.”
      And I said “Checkmate.”
      Highly satisfying!

  3. “now prefer sex-bots to real women.”

I don’t see the appeal. It’s the emotional connection you have with someone and reciprocating of feelings which makes it enjoyable. Sex-bots are akin to going on a date with a blender. How much fun can that possible be?
My theory for all this from a spiritual perspective is that the more people drift away from God, the more they gravitate towards lifelessness and eventually death. Is it no wonder they have have such disdain for humanity, love abortion, love gay pseudo-marriage which produces nothing, and now sex-bots. No wonder Jesus said if he didn’t return their would be no flesh left to save. I’m convinced given enough time mankind would make himself extinct, one way or another. Hmm, I wonder if sex-bots is what killed of the dinosaurs (kidding).

  4. Humanism, the kingdom of man, marches on according to faith, and Christianity, the kingdom of Christ marches on according to faith. Jesus taught the tares would grow up along with the wheat. Proverbs declares, “All those who hate God love death.” I John assures us. “Greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world.”
