Chalcedon published this review last year. In retrospect, I think Heaven Breaks In, by Nicholas Cappas, is one of the oddest books I’ve ever read.

I mean, the college setting of this book is so far out, it’s just about extraterrestrial.
We want to regain cultural ground for Christ’s Kingdom, we want to win it back–and that means our “Christian fiction” has to be at least as good, and preferably better than, as the stuff cooked up by secular writers. The label “Christian” should not be used as an excuse for inferior quality!

The same can be said for movies. The Christian movies made by believing Christians are getting better all the time. We need to encourage our young people to enter this field. The great novels used to rule the day, but now it is great movies. Look at the success of Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.”

I just can’t see eating as a science. That would ruin it for me.
Well I surely wouldn’t want to be strict about it either, but just including some of these foods might help though. And lentils are yummy! 🙂
Ever since Aunt Gertie gave me an alleged chocolate that had a hidden core of coffee syrup, I’ve been very averse to trying unfamiliar foods. Shouldn’t play a trick like that on a trusting little boy.
