Here’s another goody from the archive at Chalcedon’s shiny new website: my review of Expelled: The Movie, from 2008 when it first came out. A lot of you have mentioned it in passing, and have probably seen it. If you haven’t, track it down and enjoy it.

There’s a lot of stuff on http://www.chalcedon.edu/ that I didn’t write, and please don’t think I’m using this as an opportunity to show off. It’s going to take me time to learn my way around the site, and for re-posting here, I find it easiest to go to articles that I remember writing. In time I’ll branch out from there.

Meanwhile, I’m just doing what I can to help the new site find an audience, at least among my own blog audience. When you visit Chalcedon, I hope you’ll become acquainted with our other writers–and speakers, too: lots of video and audio available. Please feel free to dig in!

  1. I’ve been trying to find my way around the new site, but I’m having trouble finding the latest posts/articles. In fact, going to “Magazine” or “Blog,” even under “Resources,” seems to bring up mostly older material. What’s the best way to get to the newest posts right away?

    1. There are several Tutorials available, which you can find and select by going to “Resources” and clicking one of them.
Just now, I’m not sure where the newest posts are.

    2. Phoebe, I asked this morning and was told that most of the new material is to be found on the blogs–at least for now. The move from print to digital has confused a lot of our writers. Meanwhile, we have stuff (like my essay on “Curtain”) that was written for the magazine, not used yet, and is supposed to appear on the website.

    3. Thanks for the tips, Lee. I’m still puttering around on the site, and at least I’ve found a way to get all your articles, which is THE most important thing, right? 🙂 Anyway, I’ll keep on puttering while the work is going on.

That reminds me of a sign that was posted on campus while one of the parking garages was being renovated: “Construction in progress. Beware of dust and debris.” I thought that was an excellent gloss on our lives, including our spiritual lives, i.e., there’s always going to be some dust and debris when construction is going on.

    4. At least we got everything into the archive! That was a massive project. I tried to help, but the technology was way beyond me.

  2. “Expelled” is a good start. We need tons of more documentaries & movies that ridicule and make fun of the absurdity of Evolution. That was Robespierre’s downfall in the French Revolution, he was ridiculed. I searched for “Lee Duigon” on the Chalcedon site and got 377 resultss – I hit the motherlode!
