Once upon a time, in 2011, a number of TV nooze reporters, live and on the air, uncontrollably spouted gibberish. It also happened to Judge Judy while she was taping a show. They rushed her to the hospital for extensive testing, but could find no cause for why, for a brief interval, nothing would come out of her mouth but nonsense.

This happened to different people in different locations. The only thing they had in common was that they were all on television at the moment. But then that was what made it so visible. If it happened to somebody at home, who would ever know?
To this day, the mystery has not been solved.
This sounds like a symptom of Ischemic stroke. One only talks jibberish, cannot read or understand anything for a period of time. It usually only lasts for a few minutes, but temporarily, it is very upsetting. Sometimes the person experiencing the symptoms knows what is happening, but sometimes they do not.
In a couple of the clips I saw, involving reporters on the air, it seemed obvious that they knew they were talking gibberish and trying unsuccessfully to correct it. One or two, though, seemed unaware that they were having a problem.
I think it’d be quite a scary experience.
It has happened to me twice, and it was disturbing to say the least. You really cannot stop it. It just goes away when it is ready to go. Mine lasted about 2 minutes the first time, about 4 minutes last time.
I guess the only reason we saw this is because the victims happened to be on live TV at the time. It just seemed awfully strange to have a cluster of such incidents.
Yes, I agree, that was strange. I sort of reminds me of a time several years ago in our area when a number of people were struck with Bell’s Palsy, all in a time frame of a couple of weeks. Weird and unexplainable
so far as I know.
This is good conspiracy material. Maybe it could be included in “Oy, Rodney?” We already have characters talking gibberish at times and having conniption fits.
