After protests by the mayor of Dallas, the Dallas Moaning News, and a bunch of atheists, a billboard reading “America is a Christian Nation” has been taken down (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jun/18/america-christian-nation-billboard-removed-dallas/).
Because, you see, the message is “divisive” and “exclusionary” and “a myth.”
If America is not a Christian nation, that’s a tragedy.
American Christians once upon a time created a nation, then unique in the world, allowing the free exercise of religion–any religion. The First Amendment guaranteed it. It goes to show you should never expect gratitude.
The billboard was paid for by the First Baptist Church in Dallas. Now atheists plan to gather in front of the church and hold a protest. Just in case anybody comes out whistling a hymn or something.
Remember that Democrat slogan from 2016? “The government is the only thing we all belong to.” They meant it literally. That’s their religion: the state is their god.
O Lord our God, when you judge this nation, please remember that these things are done without our consent, against our will, and over our objections. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Amen. Father, we who love you look forward with great expectation to the return of our Savior and to His righteous rule, when all sin and rebellion will be turned away forever.
Amen!
Amen and Amen! When I saw this a day or two ago, I was not at all surprised, although I was a bit, shall we say, miffed. These people are bent on ensuring that this nation is never again Christian. Well, Jesus will have somewhat to say about that!
Here’s one touch gramma!

should be tough (auto correct isn’t always right) 🙂
Here we go. This isn’t a Christian billboard. If it were Christian at all, we know how it would be treated:

I know another handy Arabic phrase: “Hadir, hadir.” It means “Yeah, right, up yours.”
LOL! That’s a handy one to know 🙂
America was a Christian nation, but now it’s a post-Christian nation. The entertainment industry has done much to introduce people to neo-paganism. I was at the gym today and they have tvs mounted but there was no sound. For some reason a soap opera was on, and they showed two guys in bed. Long gone are the days when they wouldn’t even show a married couple in the same bed. The bar is continually being lowered.
Having TVs on in every place of business works to the advantage of the brainwashers.
Lamentable.
I know Pastor Jeffards didn’t cave, so it must have been forces beyond his control that took the billboard down. My local Right To Life group raised money to run Pro-Life TV ads. When I went to our local station to buy time I was told they wouldn’t run our ad because it featured the heart beat of a fetus and that might upset some people. That was the purpose of the ad, to change people’s minds – isn’t that what all ads are trying to do? If atheists try to take on the First Baptist Church of Dallas, they are going to lose – and lose big time!
It was the billboard company that caved.
