One has to wonder what they think they’ll end up with if they get their way.
They think they’ll wind up as the ruling class.
Wait until they discover the truth – they’re just pawns like the rest of us serfs.

Our Lord gets all his pawns to the back rank of the board, even the ones that’ve been taken, for promotion to the highest status.

At the City Council meetings which I often attend, after a brief prayer for God to “guide us in all our deliberations,” we all recite the Pledge of Allegiance. I love the part about “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of American and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands.” Not the Democracy for which it stands, but the REPUBLIC!
The difference is that a pure democracy can amount to mob rule. A republic is when we elect people we believe have sound judgment, and the same moral principles we have, to represent us in establishing the laws under which we will all live.
We don’t always pick the best person, but we can fix that the next time around. Mob rule can be fatal.
But we have heard that we are a democracy for so long and so often, we forget who we really are!

Over 100 years before Christ, the Greek general Polybius, then living in Rome as a hostage, wrote the same thing about “democracy” and praised the Romans’ republican system of checks and balances. He did not foresee that Romans of a later generation would destroy their own republic. Sort of like the Left means to destroy ours.
