This great old song from 1955, written by Dale Evans and sung by her with Roy Rogers, her husband, came back to me the other day as I was riding my bike and kept me company for a couple of miles. I remember hearing it on the radio. I remember it well.
Can you even imagine this from a Hollywood couple these days? Thanks, Lee, and thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. I had forgotten what a clear, beautiful voice Dale Evans had.

This is a very pleasant surprise. Roy and Dale were my favorites in the western genre. It’s been a long time- much water under the bridge since those wonderful days.

Dale Evans visited a church I attended in California and gave a powerful testimony of her faith in Jesus! She wrote a book about their Down Syndrome baby called “Angel Unaware” and how they were told to put their child in an institution (that’s what they did in 1950). They cared for and loved that baby for the 2 1/2 years she lived
