My wife was swooning today over this baby two-toed sloth, born at the Memphis Zoo. Okay, she finds baby sloths in general irresistible. But this one’s awful cute.
The mother sloth at the zoo has given birth before, but her babies didn’t survive, so the zoo staff thought it might be wise to hand-rear this baby, whom they’ve named Lua. And so far Lua’s doing very well. I don’t think her keepers find it a chore to care for her. But if they do, I know someone who would be glad to take over.
What an adorable little critter! I love their little squeaks.
Patty has first dibs; take a number.
It wouldn’t work anyhow. If I had one of those, everyone that came over to the house would realize just how lazy I actually am. 🙂
Reminds me of this skit:
Very funny! Who performed that skit?
Studio C. It’s a Mormon comedy group based out of Brigham Young University, so basically family friendly (though I’ve noticed them get a little edgier over time). They have some really funny and clever ones; just search on Youtube and they’ll come up.
Try their skit ‘The Restaurant of Life’. That’s a clever one. For a laugh out loud funny one, look up ‘Star Wars Leaked Footage’ or the Kyle videos. Oh and ‘A Man’s Brain’ had me cracking up the first time I watched it, and it’s still funny after several viewings.
Great skit, thanks Linda.
Also, welcome to your daughter.
Thank you, UnKnowable 🙂
(Laura provided the skit)
Thank you UnKnowable! 😊
What a little cutie! And his little voice! You’ve done it again, Lee. I want one! 🙂
What a sweet little baby! I want one 💕😊
The line forms to the right.
Lee, I’d like you to meet my daughter Lyn, just above 🙂
Oh, well, isn’t that nice! Welcome aboard, Lyn.
Thank you Lee!
She’s my youngest 🙂
So, I was reading some of the posts I enjoyed them
Don’t believe anything your mother tells you about Violet Crepuscular.
Wait till she finds out about the wading pool!
Okay Lee, I won’t LOL
Don’t let him fool you, Lyn. Believe EVERYTHING your mother tells you about Violet Crespucular. 🙂
Hahahaha! Now I’m very confused UnKnowable!
Don’t look under the wading pool for the answers. 🙂
Thank you for the advice UnKnowable 😊
Lyn, Violet Crepuscular hasn’t anything to do with Lee’s Bell Mountain Series. You’ll probably meet Violet Crepuscular today. 🙂
BTW, I’ll be bringing Bell Mountain with me Wednesday so you can get started. You’re going to love these!
Aha! Okay… thank you for the clarification. I really enjoy the characters that I have met so far 😊
First a cigar… Can’t pick up “Oy, Rodney” without relaxing first.
I signed up for notifications 😊
Good! You’re going to like it here honey. Lee has made us quite a comfy ‘family’ gathering place. 🙂
Adorable
This cute baby sloth looks a little like Wytt when he was a baby.
Wow! Good call, Joshua! Now that he’s grown, Wytt looks like Elmo the Sesame Street Muppet 🙂
Nobody listens. Omah babies are pink and hairless, and helpless. Almost as helpless as a grown human being.
Sure, but at some point they grow hair 🙂 Baby mice are pink and hairless too, but they don’t stay that way for long. And Elmo has red hair – all over! (but as it first started coming in it could’ve been brown. Even human babies’ hair color changes as it grows. Some are even born with no hair 🙂 You see, it appears perspective is the key here. Looking at the whole picture rather than a couple frames. – and of course, imagination in full measure!
I plead ignorance of the finer points of Muppet lore.
I’m just going to have to read the books so I know what everyone is talking about 😕
Kudos to the Memphis Zoo. We went there a few years ago when the Chinese lent the zoo their panda bears. It is a very pretty zoo.
