Cats tackle the tightest cardboard boxes on the slickest floors. A dachshund turns into–I dunno: a snake? An earthworm? And off in a world of their own, a scouting party of guinea pigs encounters… a baby.
Imagine how poor we’d be without our animals!
Pets do the darndest things!
That last sentence is astute. We have many wonderful things in our modern world, but the prosperity we find when we can live simply and enjoy the companionship of animals is impossible to value in dollars and cents.
Earlier today, I was thinking about that video yesterday with the chickens and thinking of how great it was to see young folks like that spending time cuddling with chickens. That’s better than watching some kid with their nose in a smartphone.
