A 69-year-old sociology professor at the College of Southern Nevada recently went into a university bathroom, pulled a gun, and shot himself in the arm (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/trump-protest-professor-shoot-himself-college-university-southern-nevada-california-mark-bird-a8542771.html). He did this “to protest Trump.” Good heavens… he shot himself for Hillary? He’s crazier than I thought.
Uh, perfesser, what was supposed to happen after you shot yourself? The president resigns because he doesn’t what you to shoot yourself in the other arm? We keep holding the election over and over again until your side wins? How did you expect to influence current events, or change history, by doing this? I mean, really, what was the flaming point of shooting yourself in the arm? (Please don’t tell me he aimed at his head and missed!)
And for all the public money we pour into the colleges, we must be almost as crazy as he is.
This changes everything! I see it now. How could I have been so wrong? Yep, the Nutty Professor made me into a new man, finally rid of all those conservative values, such as hard work, honesty, and other antiquated notions.
Oh, just a minute, I was wrong. This nutbar shooting himself only reinforces my values and adds further weight to the argument that the Left is literally becoming self-destructive. We recently had a discussion here on the forum about what happens when God gives someone over to their own designs and desires. One comment suggested that it can reach the point where a person loses their instincts for self-preservation.
At this point, this seems to be the case. Look at what is happening in Europe; the immigration problems seem to be mounting but the Left is unwilling even to consider a hiatus to sort things out. If things go completely out of control these leaders are going to be in as much peril as anyone else, but they don’t seem to realize that they are threatening the very freedoms which allow them to hold the views they so cherish.
The movement toward world government needs chaos. After they cause it, they’ll offer themselves as just the very ones to set it right.

That’s what I find so inscrutable; why would people promote ideas which would restrict their freedoms? I think that the answer is in 2 Thess 2:11 where it tells us that God sends a strong delusion to those whom are disobedient.
