Cats & Computers

This is not the world’s most happy combination. I can’t even imagine what would happen if a cat walked across the keyboard while the computer was on.

We watch movies on our computer, and when we do, either Robbie or Peep insists on coming up there and standing, sitting, or wandering around in front of the screen. This results in a show which I call “Cat’s A** Theater.”

  1. I’ve been to that same theater, many times. 🙂

If you type too much into a computer, it can cause unpredictable results by means of a phenomenon known as buffer overflow. It’s not as likely to happen these days as it was 15 years ago, or so, when web servers were more vulnerable to buffer overflow. I doubt that any cat walking on a keyboard ever actually appended a system command to the end of a web URL, but there is a strange comedy to the notion of a cat formatting the hard drive of a poorly configured web server. 🙂

    1. Betcha anything our cats write while prancing around our keyboards is much more interlecturral than anything Joe Collidge can come up with. 🙂

    2. Iz “nawt”!

Sorry, something just came over me. For a second, I could have sworn that I had moth antennas. 🙂
