Don’t turn this off after Pastor Kermit Rye stops singing, because he goes on to explain why he thinks these verses from Paul’s Epistle to the Philippians, Chapter 2, beginning with v. 5 (“Let the same mind be in you…”), might constitute the oldest recorded Christian hymn. The melody, of course, is lost, so he set it to the melody of “Danny Boy.”
He is good at singing! This is very interesting! Maybe this is the hymn that the Apostle Paul sang!
