I really hate it, every two years, having to pray frantically for my country–praying we can dodge yet another bullet. Last Election Day, 2016, we dodged a freakin’ cannonball. I say “we dodged,” but what really happens is, God spares us. And tomorrow is another Election Day already: another bullet that must be dodged.
Lord, we really are trying to push this country back onto the right course: and you’ve got to know how badly we need your help. The delicate machinery of our republic has been given up to rust and corruption for many years, and there are many people who will have it so. They own the nooze media, the education establishment, Hollywood, at least half the big business corporations… and they own the Democrat Party. And they tell us, right up front, that what they want is “open borders” (quick quiz: name a country, any country, just one, that actually has had open borders–betcha can’t!), transgenderism, strangulation of the national economy, more abortions, the authority to throw people into prison for not believing in Climbit Change, purposeful corruption and politicization of all agencies of government, and a general suppression of the Christian religion. We know they’re for these things because they’ve said so!
So again we pray: Lord, you know who your enemies are: please smite them. Blast them with a great defeat that will keep them out of power forever. You know what they stand for, you know what they’ve done, and you know what they mean to do if they ever get the chance.
Deliver us again, O Lord, out of the hands of Democrats–I was going to say, “and other Far Left Crazy loons,” but it seems all of them are in the Democrat Party now, so saying so would be redundant. Deliver us, O Lord our God; in Jesus’ name, Amen.

AMEN. When we read in Isaiah’s book about how the nations of the world are less than nothing in God’s eyes, it can be something to ponder as the “leaders of this world” believe so much in their own power, and how utterly foolish they are. Spouting off and acting out, if they only knew how God holds them in derision.

I believe that our particular nation has been spared from so many things other countries have gone through, like massive starvation,constant civil wars and so many other things, because it has been “One nation under God.”
As the historian Alexis deToqueville wrote after he visited America from Europe in 1831 to see what made her great, he concluded, “America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.” (“Democracy in America” 1835.)
The only reason we were good at that time, is because we were a Christian Nation, Our laws were made following God’s laws.
That changed radically in 1973 with Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton, the combination of which allowed unlimited abortion on demand for all 9 months of pregnancy.
Yesterday I went to see the movie about Gosnell the abortionist, called the worst serial killer in American history. It is now only in one theater in Massachusetts in West Boylston. It is an excellent and powerful revelation of the evil fruits of that Supreme Court ruling. I recommend the movie. I hesitated to go, fearing massive gore. But it wasn’t like that. It revealed Gosnell for the beast he was, but there were no photos of baby bodies.
The result was that Gosnell was spared the death penalty because he agreed to not appeal the multiple First Degree Murder convictions, so he is spending the rest of his life in prison. Thanks to some good policemen, and the Assistant District Attorney who is the mother of five children.
Then we got another beauty from the Supreme Court – same sex marriage!
Thank God for Donald Trump! He is transforming the courts back to what they should be.
It will take a long time and a fearful amount of work to repair the damage to our country–and that can’t be done for as long as Democrats have power.
Not much to add. We do what is within our reach and leave the rest to God.

Amen & Amen!! We pray knowing it all depends on God, and we work as if it all depended on us. This is not only the fight of our life, it is the fight for the rest of our natural life.
It’ll take more than one lifetime to repair the damage that liberalism has done to America.
