The Top 50 Websites: 5 for Porn

Yeah, all right, Google and Facebook are No. 1 and No. 2, not surprisingly, with Youtube No. 3: but in a recently published list of America’s top 50 websites, Numbers 6, 7, 8, 17, and 28 are porn sites (https://www.similarweb.com/top-websites/united-states).

That’s an awful lot of people spending an awful lot of time watching dirty videos.

For what it’s worth, Fox News has pulled ahead of CNN. There are times when the nooze bears more than a little resemblance to pornography.

I wonder why our culture can’t do better than this. Any theories, anyone?

  1. Like water, culture seeks the lowest level. In better days people were ashamed of their moral failures. Now it seems to be a badge of honor bespeaking the individual’s acceptance of what is important and, as they USED to say, “hip!” I don’t know what they say now, alas and it doesn’t matter because I don’t want to be it anyway.

  2. Without the morality of christianity in our lives and in our government, and without the tenets of God’s omnipotent guidance, people are left to their own devices. And after 6,000 year, you’d think they’d realize God is not in their hands; they are in God’s hands. Everybody wants to rule the world and after awhile, God says “go ahead, you’re on your own. Here’s your “Revelation.” Enter – satan. I just wonder, if people grow up to be such sheep, why do children have to be indoctrinated?

  3. Salt & Light are generated by the Christian community – therein is the answer to the culture question. John Winthrop and the Puritans had the right vision; establishing the kingdom of God on earth. The Bible tells us without a vision God’s people perish. Most Christians today have no interest whatsoever and trying to make America a self-conscious Christian nation. For them the Great Commission was for way back when, not now – get real man. We need John Winthrops, Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefields in abundance. We need to dethrone Self and put Christ on the throne (I know I do).

    1. I’m pretty sure you and I both grew up in a Christian country. I’m afraid that Christianity was wide but not deep.
Now we’re bossed around by people who would have been run out of town, back then.
And although it happened in my own lifetime, right before my eyes, I can’t explain it.

  4. Scripture warns us that just before the Lord’s return, there will be a “great falling away.” He told us, “if you love Me you will keep my commandments”
(John 15) It is simple disobedience. There is no fear of the Lord now. It is all grace, and hyper grace.
