Special Request, ‘The Christmas Shoes’

This is a special request by our dear friend Linda’s daughter, Lyn–The Christmas Shoes. Dedicated to Lyn’s mother, Linda Sorci, who recently left us for a mansion in Our Father’s house.

We willingly pay the tribute of our tears.

  1. Thank you Joshua and thank you so very much Lee! That was very special. There are just no words for the sadness and heartache, but I know Mom is with Jesus and she is at peace. She’s watching down and praying for all of us. That is what brings comfort. Thank you again Lee! God Bless all of you and I pray for a safe, healthy and peaceful Christmas season for all of you. I hope everyone is able to spend time with the ones they love. Cherish that time. Sending love and happiness to all of you <3

  2. My mom, Linda, loved this song and the sentiment. Thank you for sharing this with the group. We miss her more than words can express. But take comfort that she is in Heaven with God. She said towards the end that what would make her the most happy is to climb into God’s lap and get a hug. I picture her just as this. In God’s loving embrace.

    1. I thought you would like to see the post 🙂 Yes, she did say that and I very often think of that. it is a beautiful picture to have <3

  3. Oh, my, there are no words, only tears. I miss her here, but know she is at peace. Blessings to her family.

    1. Thank you so much Erlene! Mom always spoke about you and worried when you were ill and prayed for healing and ease from pain. She cared so much each person here and all of you held a very special place in her heart. I pray that you are doing well. I’m sure Mom is watching down and praying for all of us. That is what she did best while she was here and I bet it’s no different from heaven. You are such a sweet, kind person. God Bless!

  4. This one really tugs at the heart. I saw the made for TV movie “The Christmas Shoes” about the story behind the song. It stars Rob Lowe – and of course, it is a tear-jerker. As I get older it doesn’t take much to bring tears to my eyes – maybe it is because every day is a day closer to seeing Jesus face to face. (and all those who have gone before!).

    1. Y’know, I find it’s just the same for me. For a while there I was afraid I was turning into a softy. Then I remembered that I’ve always been a softy.

  5. If you are reading this that means you have touched our mom’s life in a beautiful way.

    1. Thank you, Tammy. I was just on the phone with your sister, Lyn, today.
Your mom brought sunshine into my world, too–and a lot of it, too.
Patty and I both wish we could have known her longer and better.
