“Janowrite” has come through for us with a hymn request: Lo, He Comes with Clouds Descending, by Charles Wesley. The youtube credits the performance to an unspecified College Choir. Well done, whoever you are.

  2. That Charles Wesley could really write them! His brother John was something special also.

    I request “O Come All Ye Faithful.” I sing this one in my mind if I have a hard time going to sleep. I love the beginning of it “Come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant” – no despair there!

    2. Actually, I requested this hymn yesterday (Wednesday), along with the Latin version, “Adeste Fideles.” Did my comment get WordPressed to death again?

      Speaking of WordPress, the comments on your “Some Hymns and Carols, Please” post are disabled as I write.

    3. Phoebe, I never saw it. I try never to miss a comment, and I check for them many times a day. “Adeste Fideles” it is.
      WordPress keeps adding steps to the posting process, so sometimes I miss re-enabling the comments. *sigh*
      No wonder no one commented on that post.
