‘Late Night TV, Circa 1958’ (2013)

I can pronounce it now, but I still don’t understand it.

Now they’ve got 150-some channels instead of just three or four, and yet it doesn’t seem there’s half as much on as there used to be.

Oh, those old TV listings! Endless fascination for a 10-year-old who was packed off to bed at 8 o’clock.

Well, this is a blog for sharing memories, isn’t it? I’d love to hear some of yours.

  1. When I was a kid, my parents could finally afford a TV and for a few years I was all but a walking TV schedule. We had only a couple of channels available, but there was some interesting programs out there.

  2. I go even further back that you guys. When I was in the lower grades in school, there was no TV of any kind, but we did have radio with some
dramas we could listen to. There was Aggie Horn, Amos and Andy, Lum and Abner, and a few others I can’t recall right now. (After all that was way back in history).
