By Request, ‘Days of Elijah’

This is about the umpteenth time we’ve posted this–Days of Elijah, sung with gusto my a hall full of U.S. Marines. Just because it’s Christmas-time doesn’t mean we can’t have other hymns for all occasions. The Hymn Shop is always open!

Requested by “Unknowable.”

  1. Thanks Lee. This one means a lot to me. Speaking with soldiers is a daily part of my life and I can state that there are many fine young men and women serving in today’s military and hearing a group of them exclaim “There is no God like Jehovah” makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

  2. I feel the same way, Unknowable. This is a winner every time. It reminds us of the great and awesome power of our God.

    1. The world situation is changing before our very eyes. We are seeing ancient issues come to light and it all seems to come down to whom we worship. That’s why this song so touches me; there’s no doubt about which god these young men worship.

  3. Amen. It is getting harder to find good Christmas songs, but Alan Jackson has some country style songs, and Carroll Roberson, too.
How are you feeling today, Lee?
